summer to fall transitional series | two

If I had a summer staple, it would be these shorts. High waist and a pretty great acid wash? These just go with everything. Clearly I’ll be trying to get the most out of these bad boys as the warmer days begin dwindling.  Which is why I wanted to experiment by pairing these with a comfy, curl-up-by-the-fire knit and an interesting color palette that incorporates both bright and deep colors.

I toned down classic summer pieces – like my itty bitty shorts, turquoise jewelry, and bitchin’ 90’s shades – by tossing on this wine sweater, and tying it all together with a pair of awesome rainbow platforms. This outfit was perfect for running around town. I’ll definitely be revisiting this look and imagining new ways to style these shorts (and shoes!) as we get deeper into the autumn months.
