summer to fall transitional series | four

With relocating, working, and traveling, I feel like I missed out on a lot of summer. And as I write this (in the rain) from our Pennsylvania apartment, I find myself missing my pool back home and really craving all the wonderful, (mostly) dry heat that southern California has been getting. It’s sad, but I know it’s just a matter of time before it gets super cold over here and I have to start breaking out the tights, so I’ll be damned if I don’t show leg for as long as I can.
This tiny t-shirt dress from Urban Outfitters, a crucial component to many of my summer looks, now helps out my lightweight knit sweaters for days with a little more bite. Kept it simple with slouchy vintage cowboy boots, because they look like summer but feel like fall….Or look like fall but feel like summer? I don’t know. They’re a little bit of both, and that’s all that matters, because they can top off transitional outfits like no other.
As it gets colder, I might swap out this sweater for a chunky cable knit, add tights, and opt for a riding boot. We shall see!
